What is sargos fish?

Sargos fish, also known as White Sea Bream, is a species of marine fish that belongs to the family Sparidae. They are found in the North Atlantic Ocean, from Norway to the Mediterranean Sea and along the western coast of Africa.

Sargos fish have a distinctive appearance with a silvery-white body and yellowish fins. They can grow up to 60 cm in length and weigh up to 4.5 kg.

They are carnivorous, feeding on a variety of marine invertebrates, including crustaceans, mollusks, and small fish.

Sargos fish are an important commercial fish and are highly valued for their mild, sweet tasting flesh. They are often served grilled, baked, or fried in Mediterranean cuisine.

Due to overfishing and habitat destruction, Sargos fish populations have declined in some regions. Conservation efforts, such as fishing restrictions and marine protected areas, have been put in place to help manage and restore their populations.
